The Boots were three musicians from Holland plus two from Germany. "In The Beginning" was written by Mike d'Abo, and it reached number 9 in the Dutch Top 40 in January 1969. From the Dutch release I've found releases with two different picture covers

The Boots open CD 2 with the Mike d'Abo song "In The Beginning". The sleeve notes have a picture of the picture cover of the single by The Boots and also printed is the text: German band that came to The Hague, Mike d'Abo of Manfred Mann wrote the song.
