This mono album by Long John Baldry has the Mike d'Abo song "When The Sun Comes Shining Thru'". Later Long John Baldry, who was one of the singers that were in the picture of taking Paul Jones' job in the Manfred Mann group, recorde a second Mike d'Abo song called "Chuckoo". The Danish single "When The Sun Comes Shining Thru"/Wise To The Ways Of The World" was released with a beautiful picture cover.

This album was released in Holland by a famous bookclub, which released more interesting albums in the late sixties. This album is interesting for Mike d'Abo fans, because it has two tracks by different artists which Mike wrote: "Build Me Up Buttercup" by The Foundations and "When The Sun Comes Shining Thru'". The album is very hard to get, because many Kinks fans bought (and are still buying if they get a chance) this album because it has two Kinks tracks and one very hard to find Dave Davies track: "Hold My Hand".

Mike d'Abo wrote a second song for Long John Baldry: "When The Sun Comes Shining Thru'". However Long John Baldry had three singles in the UK charts, none of the two Mike d'Abo songs reached the charts.

Mike d'Abo released this song on his album "d'Abo" with a slightly different title: "The Ladder (When The Sun Comes Shining Thru')".

Long John Baldry one way or another could convince record companies easily to release his albums, because he released a lot of albums and none of them reached the charts in the U.K., while only scored two minor hits with two of his albums in the USA.
